First before I go into detail about my experience I had at Brakes Plus. Let me share with you, for the last month my car has been in and out of the shop (oil leak, water pump, sensors, maintenance). Then last week my back right brake started making this horrible grinding noise. With Jetta’s they don’t give you any warning, such as a squeak first, they just start to grind. So I had no choice, but to get them replaced right away. I had called my normal mechanic and got prices, but my gut was telling me to get some other quotes. So I Googled brake coupons in Pueblo, Colorado and found some for Brake Plus here and here.

Around 2:00 pm yesterday, I called Brakes Plus and got a over the phone quote from Donn Ellington their manager.  Which was already less than my “normal mechanic” in the first place.  He asked me if I could bring my car in to receive an exact free quote, so they could actually look the brake to make sure nothing more serious had happen.  Normally when I hear those words, I feel as though I have sucker wrote on my forehead and I’m going to get charged doubled, but not in this case!  So after work I went and picked up Bella from pre-school and hurried on over to Brakes Plus because they were open until 6:00 pm (which is nice for us working moms and dads).  I got there around 5:30 and they immediately took my car back to look at.  After about 10 minutes Donn came back with exactly what he quoted me over the phone, but with a small hardware package that they recommended.   At that point I told him I had a coupon for $50 off of $200 and asked him if he would honor it.  He immediately replied yes without thinking…. score!  Because it was late at night and their shop was about to close my intentions were I was going to come back in the morning and get my brakes replaced.  Until I heard him ask me if I would like them to do it tonight?  I couldn’t believe it, I showed up 30 minutes before closing, saved $50, got a upgraded hardware package, and I was going to leave with brakes the same night after the store was closed!  Now that is what a call service!!!!  Not to mention I saved over $75 from my own personal mechanic and I got a hardware package on top of it (maybe I should be looking for a new mechanic lol).
